This easy out-and-back walk follows a clear woodland path along the high bank above the River Spey. The mix of birch, oak, heather and blaeberry gives the route a lovely Highland character, with occasional views across the strath to the Cairngorm mountains.
A gentle hour beside the Spey
A bench at the turning point makes a fine place to pause. The riverbank is steep in places, so take particular care with younger children.
