Centuries of hospitality
From stagecoach stop to Highland hotel
With origins in the eighteenth century, the hotel was originally built as a stopping place for passengers travelling by stagecoach along the old road to Inverness and the north of Scotland.
That tradition of rest and hospitality continues today. The building has grown and changed over the years, while retaining the sense of occasion and Highland character that makes a stay at the Duke memorable.
